Preservationists of the Year 2023

We are pleased to announce that BNAPS has been awarded the "Preservationists of the Year 2023" by the National Transport Trust.

The award was presented to BNAPS representatives, Bob Wealthy, Bob Wilson, Allan Wright & Andy Clancey by HRH Princess Anne, The Princess Royal, at a ceremony at the Fawley Museum, near Henley-on-Thames on 18th September.

The Award is a trophy (see picture) depicting the SS Great Britain ship, which has a link to BNAPS as the ship was recovered back to the UK for preservation, just like Islander G‑AVCN.

We are delighted to have our aircraft preservation project recognised in such a way, and are grateful to each and every member of the restoration team who have helped us achieve this accolade. Thanks also to the National Transport Trust for choosing BNAPS as 2023 winners.
